ECLAT Foundation Scholarship — Overview
The ECLAT Foundation awards one-year scholarships of $2,000 to graduating high school seniors or current college students who plan to enroll in or are attending an accredited college or university in the State of Texas.

Who is eligible
- Applicants must be either graduating high school seniors or current college students who live in, or graduated from a high school located in, one of the following Texas counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Johnson, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, or Wise.
- Applicants must intend to pursue, or already be pursuing, a bachelor’s degree at an accredited Texas college or university.
- Current college freshmen, sophomores and juniors may apply; graduating college seniors are not eligible.
- Minimum academic qualifications: a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.5, or a college GPA of at least 3.0.
- Minimum standardized test scores: SAT 960 or ACT 18.
Selection factors and requirements
- Candidates are evaluated on academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership potential, and financial need.
- Application materials must include two letters of recommendation and a written essay.
- To complete the Financial Need section of the general application, applicants are required to complete the FAFSA.
- Finalists will be asked to participate in an interview either in person at Communities Foundation of Texas or remotely via Skype.
