Oklahoma Youth Expo Scholarships

Both online submission and postal mailing are required for applications.
Ensure your application is postmarked by the stipulated deadline and sent to the following address:

- It is strongly advised to send your application with a tracking number for easy follow-up.
- Do not include the first two pages of instructions when mailing your application.
- Applications should be completely typewritten.
- Only those who have participated in at least one OYE show are eligible to apply.
- The applicant should be a high school senior on the verge of graduation.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for application.
- The total length of the completed application packet should not exceed NINE pages.
- Ensure to submit a complete application and attach the necessary documents.
- All scholarship applications must include Essay #1, Essay #2, and Essay #3.
- All essays should be double-spaced, typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1-inch margins.
Essay #1
Include a brief essay (not exceeding one page) discussing how participating in the Oklahoma Youth Expo competitions has equipped you for higher education and/or your career path.
Essay #2
Write a concise essay (maximum of one page) outlining your five-year life goals and how these objectives will contribute to improving the state of Oklahoma.
Essay #3
Provide a short essay (half a page at most) recounting a time you experienced failure and how you responded to it.
Resume
Attach a one-page, typewritten resume that includes the following sections:
- Name/Address/Phone Number/E-mail Address/FFA Chapter or County 4-H Club
- Career Objective
- Education
- 4-H/ FFA Leadership Activities/Awards
- School Leadership Activities/Awards
- Community Leadership Activities/Awards
- Professional Associations
- Other Accomplishments
- Transcript
Include a recent copy of your official high school transcript, complete with your current class ranking.
Application (IMPORTANT!)
All documents in the application should be stapled together at the top left corner, without the use of paperclips. Do not enclose applications in binders or folders. Please make FIVE COMPLETE COPIES of your application for distribution to each member of the scholarship committee.
