Overview
The Elizabeth Abrams Memorial Scholarship provides a one-time award of $3,000 to a graduating senior from one of the following schools: Plano East, Plano West, Plano Sr. High School, or John Paul II High School. The scholarship recognizes the spirit, resilience, and contributions of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Abrams. Candidates must have been members of their high school swim team during their senior year.

May 1, 2026
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating senior from Plano East, Plano West, Plano Sr. High School, or John Paul II High School.
- Participated on the school swim team during the senior year.
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Minimum standardized test scores: SAT 1030 or ACT 20.
Required materials
- Completed application (as specified by the scholarship sponsor).
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers or school counselors.
- An essay response (topic/length per application instructions).
Selection factors
Recipients are chosen based on academic performance, athletic involvement and community service, demonstrated leadership, and the quality of the essay. Financial need is not a primary consideration in the selection process.
