AAF Dallas Foundation Scholarship Fund

Overview
The AAF Dallas Foundation Scholarship Fund offers one-year awards of up to $2,000 to currently enrolled college students who are pursuing associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees in the various disciplines that comprise advertising and marketing.
Eligibility
- Must be classified as a college sophomore or junior, or be enrolled in a master’s degree program.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Enrolled at a college or university located in one of the following counties: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, or Tarrant.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a documented legal resident of the United States.
Application requirements
- A written essay is required; the essay should describe your career objectives and ambitions within the advertising and/or marketing industry.
- Applicants are encouraged (but not required) to include a statement explaining financial need.
- Submit at least two letters of recommendation. Letters should come from teachers, employers, or other professional contacts — not from family members or personal friends.
Selection criteria
Award decisions will emphasize demonstrated career goals in advertising/marketing, involvement and contributions to the collegiate advertising/marketing community, financial need, and participation in school and community activities. The selection committee will also consider leadership potential, the quality of the essay response, and the content of recommendation letters.
Award term
Scholarships are granted for one academic year and may be awarded up to $2,000.
