The Law Offices of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz & Bhaya is committed to fostering diversity within the legal profession. As such, we are delighted to announce the continuation of the DP Law Encouraging Diversity Scholarship in 2025, offering a $1,000 award to a deserving minority law or pre-law student. If you are a minority based on your race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or economic status and have a passion for law, we invite you to apply for our scholarship. We are eager to learn about your aspirations to become a lawyer, the specific area of law you wish to specialize in, and what drives you. The application deadline is October 31, 2025, so ensure to submit your application materials before this date.
Who Can Apply?
- The scholarship is accessible to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal U.S. resident living in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a vocational program or a two to four-year post-secondary institution for the Spring 2026 semester.
- Students who identify as a minority based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or economic status are eligible to apply.
- Employees of The Law Offices of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz & Bhaya, their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, and spouses), and individuals residing in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good academic standing.
How to Apply?
- Applicants must complete the form below with all required information.
- Applicants must submit an essay of 750-1000 words responding to the following prompt: The legal profession has historically lacked diversity across many dimensions, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and socioeconomic background. As a future legal professional, how do you plan to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable legal system? Describe any personal experiences, goals, or initiatives you are passionate about that support increasing diversity in the legal field.
- Please be aware that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is detected, the application will be disqualified.
- Applicants must submit a professional resume detailing their academic and professional experiences.
- Applicants must provide a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, along with the most recent official transcript from their previous school. High school students must also provide proof of acceptance to their college or university.
The winner of the 2025 DP Law Aspiring Attorney Scholarship will be selected in the month following the scholarship deadline.
