Royal Business Bank Scholarship Program

Introduction
Royal Business Bank is offering five scholarships of $1,000 each to help local high school seniors pursue higher education. Awards are intended for students who will enroll as full-time, degree-seeking first-year college students in Fall 2026 and who live within the bank’s service-area counties.
Who may apply (Eligibility)
- Current high school seniors who reside in one of the following counties:
- New York: New York County, Kings County, Queens County, Richmond County
- New Jersey: Middlesex County
- California: Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County
- Nevada: Clark County
- Illinois: Cook County
- Hawaii: Honolulu County (Oahu only)
- Plan to begin as a first-year student at a U.S.-accredited four-year college/university or at a community college in Fall 2026. (If selected, you must submit an official college acceptance letter to verify enrollment.)
- Minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0.
- Household income must be at or below the County Low Income Level. (If chosen as a finalist, applicants will be asked to provide a 2024 or 2025 tax return for income verification.)
- Open to students of all majors; there is no ethnicity requirement.
- Employees of Royal Business Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible.

- A sample application is available to review before submitting.
- A County Low Income Level chart is provided to determine income eligibility.
- A sample Recommender Form is available for reference.
How to apply
- Complete the common online application once to be considered for any scholarship programs for which you qualify.
- Both the application and the recommender form must be submitted online. Hard-copy submissions will not be accepted.
- Application materials (including recommender submissions) must be RECEIVED by 11:59 p.m. PDT on Monday, April 20, 2026. Submissions received after this deadline—by mail, email, fax, or any other method—will not be considered regardless of postmark.
Timeline and award use
- The online application system opens in December 2025.
- Scholarship funds are restricted to tuition costs as defined by the college or university the recipient attends.
Verification
- If selected, recipients will be required to provide a college acceptance letter and proof of household income (2024 or 2025 tax return) for final award confirmation.
